Greetings from Chanrio Net.

The Starting Point: Recognizing the Abyss
To be blunt, this world is fundamentally hell. I believe that recognizing this fact is the very first step to surviving in modern Japan. From the moment we are born into this world, we are already walking a path through hell.
However, acknowledging that we live in hell is not a cause for sadness. It is precisely because this world is hell that we can accumulate meaningful experiences. Because it is hell, we can appreciate peaceful days as something extraordinary. Because it is hell, we can feel a profound sense of gratitude for our health.
The Tyranny of Systems and Value
The world of business is no different. We are at the mercy of “money”—a form of virtual value created by the Bank of Japan, printed on mere scraps of paper. It holds the power of life and death over us.
Furthermore, we live under outdated laws and rules—systems created by people of the past for the people of the past. We didn’t make these rules, yet they dictate our existence. Without our consent, simply breathing incurs heavy resident taxes. We work until we are nearly ill to pay these taxes, receiving no gratitude in return. If we are even slightly late, our assets are seized. We are currently navigating a hellish landscape governed by such rules.
Yet, there is a paradox: it is only because we are in hell that we can truly perceive happiness.
The Necessity of Comparison
The current social trend shouts that we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others, that everyone is equal, and that we should focus on coexistence rather than competition. However, this doesn’t mean we should stop comparing altogether.
Humans are creatures who find fulfillment and happiness through comparison—much like how we need the baseline of “hell” to recognize “happiness.” If you reject the act of comparison, you can never achieve true contentment.
The key is this: Keep comparing yourself to yourself.
Within this hell, ask yourself: Am I in the abyss, or am I in paradise? Was I in hell then, and am I in paradise now? This internal comparison is essential for true happiness.
Compare yourself now to who you were one second ago. You are not equal to that person. Compete with the version of yourself from one second ago.
Embracing Karma and Liberation
Once you understand this, the next step is “letting go.” You must let go of this world that you perceive as hell. (I plan to write more about the mechanics of “letting go” in a future article, as it requires this foundational understanding first.)
I urge you to look deeper into the abyss. Look at the hell within yourself, the hell inherent in Japanese society, the hell experienced by the people around you, and the suffering of people worldwide. Burn these images into your mind and heart.
When you can truly accept that society is irrational, that Japan is a hell, and that no matter what you do, you remain within it—only then will you and I be slightly liberated from its grip.
To speak somewhat spiritually: “You chose this hell to find happiness before you were born into this physical body.” In Buddhist terms, this is called “Karma.” We were born into this hell because we carry karma that needs to be transformed. Therefore, it is natural to feel unhappy. The fact that we are brainwashed into believing that human-made laws are absolute truths is simply part of the “setting” we chose for this life.
Survive the Training Ground
I often write on Chanrio Net: “Please survive.” The reason is simple: this Japanese hell is a training ground for your soul. Even if you feel defeated, there will be another opportunity. Souls continue the cycle of “Rinnetensho” (reincarnation). I, too, am in this hell right now, competing with my past self so that I may one day purify my soul and break free from this cycle of rebirth.
Chanrio Net continues to operate its business with the goal of creating a healthy, future-oriented society where those who work with all their might can find true happiness.
Take Control of Your Future At Chanrio Net, we strongly recommend starting your own side business. In the Japan of tomorrow, it is essential to work while owning your own source of value. To navigate this landscape, I hope you will continue to follow my reports here.
